Mabie Farm Park
About 4 miles from Dumfries on the New Abbey Road is the large Mabie
Farm Park. Featuring Farm (and more exotic) animals, an indoor play
area, sand pits, slides, quad bikes, peddle boats, trampolines, a cafe,
pet handling, donkey rides and animal feeding, it's a great place for
all the family, and a good place for a picnic (you'll probably want
to spend all day there if you do go).
Dalscone Farm
Another farm which has decided to turn itself into a children's
play area, this one features Dumfries' best toy shop, probably the best
indoor play area, crazy golf, peddle carts and farm animals. The outdoor
activities don't yet match Mabie (they're working on it through, and
the have improved greatly in the last year, 2007, but, they now charge
adults £2.50 to go outside with the kids, and since you have to
pay for a lot of the stuff outside anyway, you may want to consider
if it is worth paying this?) but the indoor play area is the best in
town, although not recommended for smaller kids when the schools are
of as it gets very busy. This Farm is actually in the town, on the Edinburgh
Road, just beyond the by-pass.

Farmer's Den
Another children's soft play area, it's not as big as Dalscone,
but it is in the town centre (use the Placefinder Link to find it).
It is probably more toddler friendly than Dalscone through, especially
when the schools are off. While the schools are on holiday, Farmer's
Den probably the better bet if you have kids under 5.
