Sandside / Lincluden

As you leave Dumfries on the Kilmarnock Road, Sandside and Lincluden sit on your right hand side, running right from the town centre to the outskirts of town, about 2 miles in total. Actually two seperate estates seperated by the Dumfries By-pass, I've clumped them together as they are brodly similar. Sandside is made up mainly of sandstone terraced and two storey flats, whereas Lincluden are slightly more modern but of similar specification. Lincluden probably has slightly better facilities, but Sandside is so close to the town centre, it doesn't really matter. Both used to have pretty bad reputations, they don't seem too bad now, although there are still some 'bad areas'.
