The previous news article to this, from Dumfries & Galloway Council about the opening of the fishing season, reminded me about something.
The other day, when I was out a walk in Newbridge, I took this picture (I was trying to get in the daytime moon too, but that was a bit of a flop!):
I immediately labelled it "River Cairn", then began to doubt myself, so looked it up, and on Google Maps, it's called "Cluden Water", although it seems to be the Cairn further up-stream at Moniaive.
Anyone got any info?
